Asta e; Foccacia 10days
Tets Ohnari & Ryuta Iida Exhibition
From right to left, from east to west.Arts, bacterias, people, the earth, and the even rumors regardless of size or form, we are all moving with its heartbeat.Where do we come from and where are we going? The purpose of the exhibition is to unravel the memories of us through art, based on the record of a short period of time. 1,500 km from Prague to Romania over a period of 10 days, The project will end with the art-ing at key locations during the journey, documenting them, and re-organizing them at the gallery.
The title of the exhibition is a reference to the journey in the Decameron's “Ten Days of Tales” and the artist's nonsense that bocaccio and focaccia sound the same to the Japanese. Asta e" is Romanian for "that's it” or “can not be helped”. In Japanese, "Asita e" means "for tomorrow”. Each of the words, which are completely different from each other, are converted into different meanings. We feel that the discrepancy in communication other than visual communication strengthens the shared nature of art, and we have chosen this as the title of the exhibition.
Although each piece has no specific meaning, we hope you will experience our trip.
By the way, this cloth is the cloth that we laid on the table for all the meals during our 10-day trip.
