The point of departure is a simple figure on paper. With wire, I copied the lines and reformed the drawing figure in 3D. The drawing figure is then moved away from the paper. Lines become a sculpture, taking place in space rather than only on paper.
But as the drawing shows actions, movements, dynamics, the quality of the lines enabling us to read the spontaneous movement on paper, the wire medium sculpture doesn’t have the ability to reflect this action. It’s like a deadline.
