18 flames leaning against a wall and the other 18 flames joined together to represent the contrast between the plane and solid, between suppression and liberation, or between fixing and floating. It also contrasts two elements, that is, objects remaining in backstage and subjects appearing on stage.
For this exhibition in the Invalidovna built in the 18th century to house war invalids, I expressed by the frames motionless disabled soldiers along the wall who wait for something, and flying ones who remain connected with others.
